  • 86.54M

This week on the show we have a great, far-ranging and frank chat with photographer Kalpesh Lathigra. Kal has been in the industry for over 30 years. He won a World Press award in 2000, received W.Eugene Smith Fellowship among many other awards. He discusses his journey into the industry via newspapers and photojournalism and the changes in direction that he decided to take towards a more artistic practice. We also discuss some of his techniques, his use of large-format and polaroid cameras, where he finds his projects and what is involved in the research for said projects. We also talk about digital noise, navigating the editorial world and boxing. Below are various things mentioned throughout the show!
